POSITION SUMMARY
The Maintenance Mechanic's role involves hands-on work with electrical systems, mechanical equipment, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, and electronic control systems including programmable logic controllers.
This role plays a key part in maintaining and improving our production equipment to minimize downtime and support a safe and efficient manufacturing environment.

Essential Function Statement(s)
Perform routine and emergency maintenance on manufacturing equipment including machinery used for softgels, liquids, and gummies.
Diagnose and repair electrical systems, including wiring, motors, sensors, switches, and control panels.
Troubleshoot and service mechanical equipment such as conveyors, mixers, pumps, and filling machines.
Maintain and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including valves, cylinders, compressors, and regulators.
Work with programmable logic controllers to identify control system issues and support programming and troubleshooting tasks.
Read and interpret technical manuals, mechanical drawings, and electrical schematics.
Assist in the installation, relocation, and setup of new or modified equipment.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using maintenance management software or systems.
Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with company procedures and regulatory guidelines for food and dietary supplement manufacturing.
Collaborate with other departments, including production, engineering, and quality assurance, to support continuous improvement efforts.
Performs other duties as assigned.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or a degree in a related field is preferred.
Experience :
A minimum of 7 years of hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the food, dietary supplement, pharmaceutical, or related industry.
Strong knowledge of electrical troubleshooting, mechanical repairs, hydraulics, pneumatics, and control systems.
Experience with programmable logic controllers such as Allen-Bradley or similar systems.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks including bending, climbing, and standing for extended periods.
Willingness to work occasional weekends or off-hours as needed to support production schedules.
Experience in a clean manufacturing environment following written procedures and standards.
Familiarity with process improvement methods such as lean manufacturing.
Welding or fabrication skills are a plus.
Basic knowledge of building systems such as heating, cooling, and ventilation systems is helpful.
Computer Skills:
Ability to read and understand technical manuals, diagrams, and equipment specifications.
Strong troubleshooting and decision-making skills.
Pay, Benefits & Perks:
The estimated hourly pay is $32.64 to $36.39. This pay is an estimate, and the exact compensation may vary depending on an applicant's location, skills, prior experience, professional qualifications, and other relevant factors. Additional compensation may also include incentive compensation (i.e. bonus or commission) if applicable.
