Diesel Mechanic

📍 Location: Altamonte Springs, FL (Orlando)
💰 Pay: $25$35/hr. (Based on Experience + Overtime)
📅 Schedule: Monday Friday, Every Other Saturday | 2PM to 2AM (55-60 Hours/Week)

Waste Connections, Inc. is looking for a skilled and motivated Diesel Mechanic to join our high-performing team in Altamonte Springs, FL. If you have experience in the Waste or Recycling industry, thats a huge plusbut not required. 🔧 The Job:

• Perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance on Diesel Trucks and Heavy Equipment.

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems.

• Use onboard computer systems to identify and resolve vehicle issues.

• Complete work orders and documentation using our fleet maintenance software.

• Respond to emergency breakdowns and perform on-site service calls.

• Ensure a clean, safe, and OSHA-compliant work environment.

Requirements:

• 2+ Years of hands-on Diesel Mechanic experience (Waste Industry preferred)

• Strong knowledge of DPF Regeneration Systems (especially CUMMINS and MACK)

• Welding/Fabrication skills are a big plus!

• Must have your own tools.

• Comfortable working 2nd shift (2PM 2AM)

• Basic computer skills for Diagnostics and Documentation

• Commitment to safety practices and PPE usage
