Diesel Mechanic Job Description We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team in maintaining and servicing engines in large diesel trucks. This role requires a hands-on professional with a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in diesel engine repair and maintenance. Responsibilities Perform maintenance and repair on diesel engines and transmissions in large trucks. Conduct troubleshooting and diagnostics to identify mechanical issues. Carry out preventive maintenance to ensure the longevity of fleet vehicles. Repair electrical systems and hydraulics in diesel trucks. Execute welding and trailer repair tasks as needed. Utilize hand tools effectively for various repair and maintenance duties. Interpret blueprints for equipment maintenance. Ensure fleet maintenance is conducted efficiently and effectively. Essential Skills Proven experience in diesel engine maintenance and repair. Strong understanding of mechanical systems related to diesel engines. Proficiency in troubleshooting and diagnostics. Knowledge of electrical systems and hydraulics. Ability to perform welding and trailer repair. Skill in using hand tools and interpreting blueprints. Additional Skills & Qualifications Certification or qualification as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic. Previous experience as a Diesel Mechanic. Why Work Here?
