Facility Maintenance Technician (Overnight)

About the Role

As a Facilities Maintenance Technician, you are responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks and repairs in our facility and will be working in various trades such as electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC to maintain a safe, clean, and functional environment.

Overnight shift

Responsibilities

• Perform routine building maintenance tasks including basic repairs in plumbing, electrical, and carpentry
• Assist in troubleshooting and repairing HVAC systems
• Monitor and perform light maintenance on culinary and commercial equipment
• Paint, refurbish, and remodel facility areas as needed
• Change interior and exterior light bulbs as required
• Maintain cleanliness of interior and exterior property (excluding snow removal)
• Properly dispose of recyclable materials and general waste
• Support other team members as needed with facility operations
• Follow safety procedures and report any hazards or maintenance issues promptly
• Support training initiatives
• Complete other duties as needed

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in facilities maintenance or a related trade
• Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, and carpentry systems
• Experience with HVAC/R and commercial appliance repair preferred
• 6+ months experience using technology such as smart phones and tablets, inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Valid drivers license desired

Requirements

• 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the US
• Able to lift, pull, and push a minimum of 50 pounds of weight by oneself
• Able to perform physical tasks for a full shift while working including standing, kneeling, climbing, and crouching
• Comfortable working in varying physical and environmental conditions including, but not limited to, heights, confined spaces, and loud noises
• Comfortable working in various temperatures including cold environment (34-40 degrees Fahrenheit depending on site) and occasional freezer temperatures that can range anywhere from 0-10 degrees Fahrenheit
• Ability to communicate effectively as needed to carry out job functions, including reading, writing and basic arithmetic (addition and subtraction)
• Able to work evenings and weekends
