The City of Defiance is accepting applications for the position of Wastewater Maintenance Mechanic. This position maintains and repairs mechanical equipment utilized in the wastewater treatment plant and pump stations. Applicants must have a high school diploma, valid State of Ohio driver's license and two years experience in a wastewater plant or five years experience in an industrial setting, electrical troubleshooting a plus. This is a full-time position starting at $23.34 per hour with a full benefits package including health, vision & dental insurance, life insurance, paid vacation, sick leave, and enrollment in OPERS. Applicants with Military Service must provide a copy of Form DD-214 at time of application to receive military credit.
