Maintenance Mechanic Job Description The maintenance mechanic will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of complex machinery during third shift hours. This position requires a dedicated professional to perform preventive maintenance and occasional brake-fix tasks, primarily during Sunday to Thursday, 11 PM to 7 AM shifts. Responsibilities Conduct preventive maintenance tasks on complex machinery, often requiring an entire shift. Participate in brake-fix work, diagnosing issues such as jams and planning repair strategies. Engage in mechanical and electrical work, utilizing troubleshooting skills to find solutions. Collaborate with the team to maintain operational efficiency and machine reliability. Essential Skills Minimum of 3 years prior industrial maintenance experience. Solid foundation in electrical systems, including series vs parallel circuits, estop systems, and limit switches. Strong mechanical expertise. Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and coachability. Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and PLC troubleshooting. Additional Skills & Qualifications PLC knowledge and troubleshooting experience. Prior experience with extrusion, key foam, or Getecha (grinding) machines. Why Work Here? Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $68640.00 - $74880.00/yr. - 401k matching 4% (unlimited) after 90 days - strong benifits package (health dental vision life - short/long/critical disability insurance - strong culture within the maintenance team, treated like family Workplace Type This is a fully onsite position in Sterling,MA.
