Mechanical Maintenance 70 % Y/N: N H/M/L: H

1. Performs all equipment repairs and troubleshooting. Ability to read and understand related technical drawings/schematics and mechanical systems. Performs mechanical equipment repairs including motor and conveyors. Completes start up and changeovers for mechanical equipment.

2. Communications 10 % Y/N: N H/M/L: H

Assists in maintaining an accurate inventory and maintenance logs through activities such as: proper reporting of parts inventory usage, tracking of time worked, minimizing waste, reporting any spills or unique situations that adversely impact operations. Maintain various production logs to record downtime/issues which arise during assignment. Completes all required paperwork (timesheets, quality sheets,) accurately

3. Housekeeping 10 % Y/N: Y H/M/L: M

Assists in maintaining an acceptable level of housekeeping.

4. Safety 5 % Y/N: N H/M/L: H

Works in a safe manner following all departmental and plant safety rules. Responsible for immediately reporting any unsafe work conditions to work leader, supervisor, or management. .

Actively participates in various committees/teams to improve processes. Works in various other areas as required by business needs.

Specific training or degree required:

Mechanical journeyman status preferred Experience with case packers, case fillers, filler machines, work with air cylinders, rebuilding pumps. Basic to medium electrical troubleshooting skills. Strong industrial mechanical experience. Strong interpersonal skills/ ability to work well others in a team environment. Journeyman's certification/license preferred.
