Maintenance Mechanic - Overnight Shift $2,000 Sign On Bonus

Darigold is seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Mechanic to be a part of Darigolds Portland Plant. The Maintenance Mechanic must possess the desire and ability to maintain and repair all plant equipment. The Maintenance Mechanics role is to ensure successful maintenance and repair of plant machinery and supporting special projects within the plant. This role is represented by a bargaining agreement, which will require union membership.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

Experience maintaining boilers, air compressors, condensers, glycol systems, cooling towers, and wastewater
Experience troubleshooting and repairing electrical motors and controls (VFD experience a must)
Experience troubleshooting and repair of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Experience maintaining and troubleshooting mechanical systems Fans, conveyors, gearboxes, etc.
Experience troubleshooting fluid process equipment including pumps, valves, etc.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics and equipment manuals
Able to lift 50 lbs. routinely / frequently and be able to sit, stand or climb or walk for 12 hrs
Understanding and experience of preventive maintenance. Experience with CMMS programs preferred
Demonstrated ability to plan, organize and maintain equipment and records
Strong team/verbal/written skills are required. Demonstrated ability to be a Team Player
Must be available to work any shift including nights, weekends, holidays.

Education, Experience And Certifications

Familiarity with MS Office suite and applications, ability to utilize electronic communication effectively
3-5 years of manufacturing maintenance, millwright, or other closely related experience
3+ years of mechanical/electrical maintenance, OR instrumentation certification
Experience troubleshooting: PLCs, controls instrumentation and panel arc flash rating level PPE requirements
Formal education in a related field
