Heavy Equipment Mechanic

This position requires a comprehensive understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical troubleshooting, and overhaul repair of diesel and electrical equipment. The role demands strong analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively repair or overhaul major assemblies and systems, such as power train differentials, transaxles, electronic fuel injection systems, emission control systems, and related electrical, electronic, hydraulic, fuel, and other sub-assemblies. Responsibilities Repair and overhaul major assemblies and systems. Follow instructions contained in applicable technical manuals. Ensure work standards and labor hours are met in accordance with the work package. Inspect work throughout the overhaul process. Utilize industry-standard tools and test equipment for troubleshooting and repairs. Interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and control schematics. Read technical manuals and order correct parts as needed. Essential Skills Diesel engine repair experience Suspension and steering maintenance experience. Knowledge of transmissions, transaxles, brakes, and electrical/electronic systems. Proficiency in troubleshooting and repair techniques. Ability to identify replacement parts accurately. Additional Skills & Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of work-related experience for Junior Mechanics. Ability to work independently without supervision. Possession of metric and non-metric tools. Experience with engine analyzers, dynamometers, injector tests, voltmeters, gauges, micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators. Why Work Here?
