Job Summary:

Our Engineering and Maintenance department does it all! From troubleshooting to preserving our rich history and being stewards of our iconic lodges, hands-on skills are needed to get the job done right. Electricians will coordinate the proper operation of all assigned electrical systems on location and will work with the Park-wide Electrician to ensure that electrical opening and closing procedures are being conducted.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the proper operation, testing, maintenance and repair of electrical systems in Xanterra facilities.
• Ensures all electrical installations, repairs and replacements meet the applicable electrical code.
• Accountable for proper and accurate documentation, in the Computerized Maintenance Management System, of labor & materials expended in the performance of electrical maintenance.
• Provides assistance and oversight for the seasonal opening/closing of all facilities.
• Assists in the development and continuous improvement of preventive maintenance procedures for electrical equipment and systems.

Qualifications

• Aptitude required to complete common electrical repairs.
• Proficient in the operation and use of common electrical repair equipment and tools.
• Have a general knowledge of OSHA requirements and the use of personal protective equipment.
• Ability to read, understand and comply with all company policies and procedures.
• Capable of and willing to advance his or her electrical knowledge and expertise through on-the-job training and self-study.
• Must be at least 19 years old and have valid driver's license; good driving record required.

Physical Requirements include:

• This position may require the use of respiratory protection and will require compliance with applicable regulations.
• Ability to walk long distances over uneven terrain and climb stairs and ladders in all types of weather conditions.
• Capable of lifting objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Physical stamina and condition to withstand heavy labor related work in an outside environment.
• Standing, bending, kneeling, crawling, for extended periods of time are required.
