JOB SUMMARY
The Maintenance Mechanic plays a large role in the maintenance and up of Albany Internationals industrial equipment. Over time, the incumbent is trained in a variety of distinct tasks, each associated with the classification of a Maintenance Mechanic.
SAFETY AND PROCEDURES
Follow all publicized safety policies/procedures and JIBS applicable to the job.
Use appropriate PPE that has been identified on the Hazard Analysis for the department/role.
Attend and participate in all safety training, safety meetings, audits and Behavior Based Safety programs assigned.
Report all safety hazards observed. If capable, correct the safety hazard identified.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Must be able to safely operate all tools
Must be qualified as a millwright or industrial mechanic.
Must be familiar with or willing and able to learn operation of boilers, thermal oil heaters, air conditioning systems, and pneumatic controls.
Must be willing to attend technical or other schools to become sufficiently proficient in all of the above areas and operations to do the tasks required.
Able to load/unload heavy, large packages when necessary
Operate Forklift
Cleans up work area
Cross-trains to other processes
