Facilities Maintenance - Ceramic Tile Setter

Volt is immediately hiring a Facilities Maintenance Technician for a well-known manufacturer in Albuquerque, NM.

As a Facilities Maintenance Technician you will:

• Install ceramic and other tile types with precision and durability.
• Prepare surfaces and cut tiles to fit specific areas accurately.
• Inspect completed tile installations for quality and consistency.
• Perform basic painting tasks including surface prep, priming, and finishing.
• Conduct janitorial duties in common areas, restrooms, and break rooms.
• Assist with moving and setting up office furniture and equipment.
• Collaborate with maintenance staff and other departments to meet goals.
• Follow safety protocols and report hazards or maintenance issues promptly.
• Document all repairs and stay updated on tools, techniques, and equipment.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and manage parts purchasing.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Specialized experience in tile setting (required).
• Proven experience in tile setting and general facilities maintenance.
• Ability to read blueprints or work orders and follow instructions.
• Familiarity with hand and power tools used in tile installation and general maintenance.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Physical ability to lift heavy objects, stand for long periods, and perform manual labor.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience in commercial or institutional facility maintenance.
• Basic understanding of plumbing or electrical systems.

This is a full time opportunity.

Schedule: Saturday-Wednesday (Thursday & Friday Off) 7:30am-4:00pm

Pay Rate: $24.00 - $27.00 per hour
