This position is with the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, Division of State Parks, and will be located at Knob Noster State Park, 873 SE 10 Road, Knob Noster, MO 65336. This position typically works Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with a 30-minute lunch break. This position will require working regularly rotating weekends, and working some nights, holidays, and special events as necessary. Shifts may vary occasionally with the time of year and to meet the needs of the facility.

Responsibilities - What you?ll do Responsible for performing a variety of semi-skilled work in the alteration, maintenance, natural resource stewardship, and repair of state buildings and facilities.Work in a variety of trade areas such as electrical, plumbing, carpentry, concrete and masonry, painting, plastering, and mechanical repair in settings such as facilities and grounds.Routine cleaning of park buildings, restrooms, campsites, and park grounds.Maintain a valid vehicle operator's license to operate and maintain licensed vehicles, as well as tractors, mowers, skid steer, and other grounds related equipment.Operate and maintain lawn mowers, tractors, skid loader, trucks, chainsaws, leaf blowers, and similar mechanical equipment.Assist with prescribed burns, wildfire suppression, herbicide application, and other natural or cultural activities as directed with the completion of Level 1 Prescribed Fire training.May also oversee a crew engaged in maintenance tasks.Qualifications - All you need for success

This position may be required to obtain and maintain additional licenses/certifications. If required, and if you do not currently possess these license/certifications, you will be given six months to obtain necessary license/certification.

Equivalent to those typically gained by:

One - three years of experience in any of the following trade areas: electrical, plumbing, concrete and masonry, carpentry, painting, plastering, and mechanical repair.
