Duties
Help
Leads a team (minimum of three mechanics) and works beside others performing Electronic Integred Systems maintenance duties. Performs in-process inspections within the shop and on-site of repair, diagnostics, modificion, overhaul and/or rebuild of integred electronic systems and reled support equipment. Performs personnel training evaluions and spot checks work. Determines whether quality standards are met by detailed inspection of electronic, electrical, mechanical and operional inspections methods. Investiges causes of critical or major defects and assures corrective actions are taken. Assures th all test and measuring equipment used in the integred maintenance process is properly calibred and meets required configurion. Inspects systems to determine if necessary modificions have been accomplished. Advises Aerospace Engineering personnel on the operion and maintenance effects of proposed Time Compliance Technical Orders (TCTO) modificions on new or existing equipment. Makes recommendions to depot engineering on TCTO changes. Performs final inspection of work upon completion. The Working Leader is "Red X" qualified. Interacts directly with aircrews for mission/sortie debrief and enhanced system troubleshooting. Responsible for final classificion and acceptance of all equipment/merial inspected. Inspections include visual, dimensional, electrical or electronic characteristics for conformance to appearance or tolerance requirements and a function/operion test. Assures th all required modificion work orders have been applied and necessary records upded.
Directs on-equipment or off-equipment maintenance on one or more complete electronic integred systems associed with the assigned aircraft, and/or maintenance on automic flight control systems, instrument systems, inertial and radar navigion systems. Provides task oversight for employees in the accomplishment of work by the Electronics Integred Systems Mechanic, WG-2610-13 trades and labor craftsmen. Receives general instructions and guidance from senior supervisor, and ensures th the instructions are carried out precisely by the work team in order to accomplish goals and objectives. Ensures th needed tech da, schemics, plans, blueprints, merial, and test equipment is available prior to work initiion. Identifies and balances the workload. Monitors and reports on the stus and progress of work. Assures th the supervisor's instructions on work priorities, deadlines, and quality requirements are met. Coaches the team in the selection and applicion of approprie problems solving methods and techniques. Trains and arranges for training of team members in methods and techniques of team building and working in teams to accomplish work. Monitors and reports on the stus of work in progress and upon completion, as required, to assure the supervisor's instructions on priorities, methods and quality have been met. Maintains the inspection program for area of responsibility and administrive reference merials, including relevant documents, policies, procedures, and written instructions from supervision is available to the team. Prepares reports and maintains records of work accomplishments. Represents the team in dealings with the supervisor for the purpose of obtaining resources and securing needed informion or decisions from the supervisor on major work problems and issues. Approves emergency leave up to one day. Investiges causes of critical or major defects and assures corrective action is taken. May stop production to correct discrepancies or unsafe practices.

Military Requirements:
For Dual-Stus Technician positions service affiliion under Title 32 USC 709 is required.
Military skill set is determined by AFSC/MOS requirements. Upon selection, individuals must be assigned to a compible military AFSC/MOS in accordance with stutes and Nional Guard Bureau regulions and must obtain/maintain all requirements of the AFSC/MOS.
GENERAL EXPERIENCE : Experience or training which demonstres the candide's ability to lead other NG employees engaged in installing, modifying, overhauling, maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, aligning, calibring, and rebuilding multi-system avionics complexes. Lead inspection, installion, maintenance, and repair of electronic equipment. Ability to train, men tor, and solve problems. Able to conduct training presentions and briefings. Ability to assign work and monitor progress.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE : In addition to the craftsman level knowledge, experience or training which demonstres the knowledge of and skill in this series sufficient to organize and direct the work of others. Experience which demonstres an applicant's ability to provide guidance to others in analyzing the malfunctions encountered, devise repair procedures and perform the repairs or, if extensive repairs are needed, provide instructions to employees.
