Maintenance Mechanic - 2nd Shift A food and beverage manufacturing looking for a skilled Maintenance Mechanic in the Suwanee, GA area with expertise in ammonia refrigeration systems. This role is crucial in supporting operations at a leading prepared foods manufacturing facility known for its commitment to quality and safety. Shift of the Maintenance Mechanic: 2nd shift 3 pm - 11:30 pm Pay Rate of the Maintenance Mechanic: $30-$45/hr Responsibilities of the Maintenance Mechanic: Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial ammonia refrigeration systems in compliance with PSM/RMP requirements. Perform mechanical maintenance on production equipment, including ovens, mixers, conveyors, and packaging lines. Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC, compressors, motors, and pumps. Monitor and log operating conditions of the refrigeration plant; perform system startups and emergency response procedures. Ensure compliance with OSHA, PSM, EPA, and company safety policies. Qualifications of the Maintenance Mechanic: High school diploma or GED required; technical/vocational training preferred. Minimum 3-5 years of industrial maintenance experience, with at least 2 years in ammonia refrigeration systems. RETA certification (CIRO or CARO) preferred. Knowledge of PSM/RMP regulations and safe handling of ammonia. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Maintenance Mechanics Apply Today!
