Electrical Engineer
Job Description
This role involves performing both minor and major repairs on production and facility-related equipment, encompassing instrumentation, electrical, electro-mechanical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Responsibilities
+ Follow all general safety regulations and utilize provided safety equipment as required.
+ Understand ISO 9001 requirements and always adhere to work instructions and procedures.
+ Analyze, troubleshoot, and rectify machine, facility, and process problems.
+ Complete scheduled machine Preventative Maintenance duties.
+ Utilize electrical test equipment for troubleshooting electrical systems to determine corrective actions and repairs.
+ Help maintain inventory control of parts and equipment.
+ Provide training to other electricians and mechanics.
+ Maintain a neat, organized, and clean work area, adhering to 5S principles.
+ Cross-train in other positions as required.
+ Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Essential Skills
+ Ability to read and interpret documents and training materials such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
+ Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills.
+ Ability to work with basic mathematical concepts, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions in practical situations.
+ Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
+ Ability to interpret technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Prefer two years of technical training, an Associates degree, or military training.
+ Five years of experience in a related field.
Work Environment
The role involves working in an environment occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, high places, fumes or airborne particles, toxic chemicals, electrical shock risk, and vibration. The noise level is usually moderate. Work hours typically consist of eight hours per day, five days a week, but may vary depending on business needs, including overtime or irregular hours. The position requires operation of shop equipment and tools, and the employee is responsible for their own hand tools. The office is shared with the Controls Tech and is air-conditioned and climate-controlled, while the plant is not climate-controlled.-

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
