Maintenance Mechanic I Job Overview Maintenance Mechanic 1 is an entry to intermediate level position responsible for repairs and completing preventative maintenance for the power industrial equipment fleet. Along with any other maintenance repairs and tasks needed around the facility. Responsibilities will include: Daily maintenance and repair of warehouse equipment Including Powered Industrial Equipment, recycling material processing equipment, dock equipment, hand trucks, and other equipment. Perform plumbing, painting, carpentry, basic electrical and fabrication duties as needed. Able to perform Preventative Maintenance (PM), troubleshoot and repair on powered Industrial equipment. Maintain accurate records (Service Channel) of all Maintenance functions performed as instructed. Operate in a safe manner for benefit of self and others and maintain a watchful eye for unsafe practices and situations. All other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Minimum 1-2 years of experience in industrial maintenance, automotive field, or education in industrial powered equipment repair. Must have knowledge of Powered Industrial Equipment repair and operation. High school diploma, Trade school or equivalent work experience. Ability to communicate proactively and effectively including comprehending and communicating detailed instructions, reading and writing, and having knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures as required by the position. Skilled in multi-tasking, organization and managing competing priorities. Must be able to work flexible hours determined by needs of department including weekends.
