As a Maintenance Supervisor at Zekelman Industries, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and safety of all plant equipment. This position requires strong leadership, technical troubleshooting abilities, and a proactive approach to maintenance strategies. You will have the opportunity to contribute directly to reducing downtime, improving equipment performance, and supporting operational excellence.

You will collaborate with maintenance technicians, production staff, and other cross-functional departments, ensuring that maintenance activities support safe and efficient plant operations. This is an on-site role located in Farrell, PA.

What Youll Do

Supervises, trains, and mentors maintenance technicians to ensure efficient operations
Oversees and performs troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance on plant machinery, including mills, welders, and material handling systems
Develops and implements preventive and predictive maintenance programs to extend equipment life and minimize unplanned downtime
Enforces OSHA and company safety standards to ensure a safe working environment
Responds quickly to equipment breakdowns, coordinating emergency repairs to minimize production impact
Manages spare parts inventory and oversees procurement of maintenance supplies
Identifies and implements process improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency
Maintains accurate records of maintenance work, inspections, and compliance documentation
Collaborates with production, engineering, and quality teams to support continuous improvement initiatives

Who You Are

5+ years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in steel manufacturing or heavy industry
2+ years of supervisory experience leading a maintenance team
Associate degree or technical certification in industrial maintenance, mechanical engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
Familiarity with CMMS systems and Microsoft Office applications
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
Committed to maintaining a safe work environment and ensuring regulatory compliance
Welding and fabrication experience is a plus
