Maintenance Supervisor

This Maintenance Supervisor position is responsible for advising maintenance team to ensure that all systems operate at their highest capability to meet required production schedules, quality, costs and schedule. priorities. Additionally, this position assists and partner with business leaders on implementation of process improvement (Six Sigma / Lean/Kraft Heinz Management System (KHMS)) including leading change initiatives, planning, and facilitation.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities
  • Supervises employees on an assigned shift to perform maintenance or service functions within established timing, quality, and cost standards.
  • Supervises maintenance activities to ensure that disruption to production is minimized.
  • Directs all related personnel actions, including final selection, training, performance appraisal, discipline, safety, and grievance procedures in unionized environments.
  • Sets up a machinery equipment maintenance work-plan for weekly, monthly and annual inspection and makes daily assignments.
  • Interprets functional specifications and problem reports.
  • Monitors quality of maintenance work, working practices and adherence to safety procedures to ensure safety of employees working in the area.
  • Establishes short-term activities directed toward work continuity and balance, such as shift schedules, job priorities, material availability, preventive inspections, and grievance resolutions.
  • Coordinates and integrates with other plant function areas to ensure support.
  • Selects, organizes, trains, and motivates labor force to ensure consistent quality of work.
  • Recommends improvements in equipment or methods.

Expected Experience & Required Skills:
  • Experience in leadership/management role or equivalent.
  • Experience in manufacturing/industrial work settings/environments.
  • Experience in implementing and maintaining maintenance management system operations or equivalent.
  • Experience in direct and overhead cost systems.
  • Experience and knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or a related field
  • Demonstrated ability supervising teams in a manufacturing environment (5 years) or the combination of equivalent education and experience
Typical Work Environment & Schedules

Manufacturing plant environment with heavy machinery and equipment if certain scheduling nuances are required (rotating shifts, weekend/holiday, etc.)

Physical demands include but not limited to
  • Pushing Fine Movement
  • Pulling Keyboard & Text Input Constant - Activity or conditions sustained 2/3 or more of the working hours. Heavy - Frequently 25-50lbs; 10-20lbs constantly.

New Hire Base Salary Range:

$72,400.00 - $90,500.00

Bonus: This position is eligible for a performance-based bonus as provided by the plan terms and governing documents.

The compensation offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors
