ESSENTIAL AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

  • Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies, procedures, and state, federal and local laws.

  • Develops competence by performing structured work assignments
  • Uses existing procedures to solve routine or standard problems
  • Perform electrical installation, troubleshooting and maintenance.
  • Familiar with PLC programming, automation and AI technologies
  • Perform automated equipment troubleshooting.
  • Execute planned maintenance and corrective work orders.
  • Support to equipment, utilities and process troubleshooting / repairs.
  • Responsible for multiple small projects related to new equipment, upgrades to existing equipment, facility modifications, and utility infrastructure.
  • Perform technical documents, SOP updates and change controls.
  • Provides ongoing support to maintenance staff to solve complex problems, understand and coach failure modes, and prepare technical solutions on facility controls equipment.
  • Will implement safe work practices and process controls to ensure a safe operation of equipment and facility. May include job hazard analysis, failure fault trees, and risk assessments to drive a preventable injury work place and continuously safe process.
  • Developed financial models to support decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Conducted financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting to support business objectives.
  • Evaluated business performance and identified opportunities for improvement.
  • Provided ad-hoc analytical support for key initiatives, including sales, operations, and capital investment efforts.
  • Collaborated with cross-functional teams to develop and implement automatization strategies.
  • Created and executed plans to optimize and/or improve scheduling efficiencies to meet business operations onboard.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Education/Certification/Experience:

  • Bachelors degree with 5 years experience or Associate Degree with 8 years experience within pharmaceutical or related manufacturing facility or equivalent combination of years and experience.
  • 1-3 years Automation experience.
  • Experience on using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems to track the scheduling and execution of maintenance activities.
  • PLC experience or certification a plus
  • Six Sigma Green Belt a plus.
  • Operational Excellence a plus.
  • Compliance related documentation a plus
  • Project management experience a plus.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

  • Knowledge and ability to troubleshoot hardware and software used on SCADA systems.
  • Reading and ability to interpret blueprints and schematics.
  • Communicating clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
  • Management skills to lead a team of maintenance technicians and meet department goals and expectations.

Problem Solving:

  • Works on assignments that are routine to semi-routine in nature where the ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice is required.
  • Exercises judgment within specifically defined practices and policies and selects methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
  • Normally provides general instruction on routine work and detailed instruction on new assignments to direct reports.
  • May be asked to recommend methods and procedures for problem resolution.

Core essential skill sets:

  • Electrical field degree with a minimum of 2 years working with electrical systems (24v 480V) and utilities (HVAC, Boilers, water systems, cooling towers, air compressors, chillers, etc.)
  • GMP experience is a plus (pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical devices, vitamins or packaging)

Pay Range:
$35/hr to $45/hr
