GENERAL PURPOSE
Under direct supervision, perform preventive maintenance, routine repairs, and cleaning on building systems and production equipment. Provide support for equipment installations, relocations, and upgrades. This role interacts regularly with both production and non-production employees, contractors, and suppliers. This is a 2nd shift position , generally working Monday through Thursday, 3:00 PM - 1:30 AM .

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Adhere to and actively support all safety, environmental, quality, and continuous improvement programs and policies.

Perform preventive maintenance, cleaning, and basic inspections on building systems, material handling systems, and production equipment.

Assist with troubleshooting, repair, rebuilding, and relocation/installation of equipment and systems.

Conduct basic fabrication in support of building systems and production tools/equipment.

Repair departmental tools and equipment; report any deficiencies to the Work Team Leader.

Support senior maintenance staff as needed.

Perform other duties as assigned to help meet business objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience
One of the following is required: (1) High school diploma or its equivalent (GED for example), (2) work experience which demonstrates performance competency.

Licenses and Certifications

Must have a valid driver license.
Must have or be able to obtain a MillerKnoll forklift, aerial lift, personnel carrier and other equipment license, as required.

Skills and Abilities
Must be able to communicate clearly, both written and verbally.
Must have the ability to read operation/repair manuals as related to this position.
Familiarity with and fluent in the safe operation of small power hand tools.
Must have the ability to learn to operate production equipment as part of performing preventative maintenance.
Basic computer skills and ability to learn new software.
Must have willingness to help others and eagerness to learn.
