Summary
Performs a wide range of essential tasks to ensure smooth operations of the property. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, maintenance, repair, and guest service support.
Essential Functions
Respond courteously to guest questions, complaints, and requests to ensure strong guest satisfaction.
Check for new maintenance requests and update work orders promptly.
Maintain all mechanical areas in a neat and orderly condition.
Perform maintenance and repairs in public areas, guestrooms, and administrative offices.
Conduct preventive maintenance projects and maintain updated records.
Work flexible schedules, especially during emergencies.
Maintain and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, construction, and renovation systems.
Inspect and perform minor repairs on electrical systems, including air conditioning, TVs, and lighting.
Assist with routine and major repairs of hotel equipment (e.g., appliances, kitchen/laundry equipment, boilers, pool systems, plumbing fixtures).
Service the hotel pool, including chemical adjustments and filter cleaning.
Maintain building exterior and curb appeal (e.g., snow removal, lawn care, painting, gardening).
Refurbish and finish furniture and fixtures in guest rooms.
Assist with remodeling and construction projects.
Comply with attendance rules and maintain regular availability.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 1 year of experience in building-related trades (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Carpentry).
Proficiency with a variety of equipment repair tools.
Ability to follow instructions and communicate work progress.
Hotel experience preferred.
Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to push/pull up to 100 lbs.
Capable of climbing and maintaining balance.
Physically able to sit, stand, bend, stretch, lift, and move intermittently during shifts.
Able to work with chemicals.
