The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance tasks to support the safe and efficient operation of a manufacturing facility. This includes troubleshooting and repairing production equipment, as well as handling general building maintenance such as plumbing, painting, and light construction. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, along with hands-on experience in facility upkeep. A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety are essential for success in this role.
Essential Duties
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize unplanned downtime
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems used in production
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and perform necessary repairs to restore operations
- Maintain and repair facility infrastructure including lighting, plumbing, doors, windows, and HVAC systems
- Perform general building maintenance tasks such as painting, drywall repair, basic carpentry, and light construction
- Install, move, or modify equipment and machinery as needed, ensuring proper alignment, wiring, and calibration
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with company safety standards
Competencies, Experience, and Qualifications Required
- High school diploma or GED required
- Technical certification or associate's degree in industrial maintenance, electrical, or mechanical technology, preferred
- 2-4 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Basic computer skills required; experience with maintenance software (e.g., CMMS), preferred
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Proficient in troubleshooting
