Job Description:
Assists in the daily maintenance and preparation of the golf course under the supervision and direction of the Golf Course Superintendent.
Essential Job Functions
Safely operates equipment such as mowers, blowers, irrigation equipment and other golf course maintenance related equipment.
Cleans machinery after each use.
Reports machinery/equipment problems to immediate supervisor.
Cuts grass, weeds and bushes; Rakes leaves.
Trims trees and bushes and removes cuttings.
Waters turf grass as necessary.
Loads and unloads materials.
Collects litter and empties garbage cans.
Fills and distributes water coolers.
Cleans golf course restrooms.
Other Duties
Performs related work as required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (These are pre-employment KSA that apply only to Essential Job Functions.)
Knowledge of--
- Basic practices in the care of golf course turf grass and associated facilities.
Ability to--
- Operate all of the equipment required for golf course maintenance.
- Deal effectively with the public.
Required Qualifications (Note: Any acceptable combination of education, training and relevant experience that provides the above knowledge, abilities and skills may be substituted on a full-time year for year basis.)
Training and/or Education:
Completion of the tenth grade.
Experience:
Six (6) months experience working in golf course, park, landscape, or general grounds maintenance.
Licenses or Certificates:
Valid drivers license.
Special Requirements:
Must be 18 years of age.
Subject to background investigation.
Physical Demands:
Work requires strenuous physical effort to perform manual work involving walking over rough, uneven terrain, repeated bending, climbing, crouching, stopping, stretching, reaching or lifting objects up to 100 pounds.
Unusual Demands:

Pay rate: $17.97 per hour
