Job Description

AtWork Personnel is seeking a Field Service Assistant to support various departments for a client in Adairsville, GA (Customer Support, QA/QC, Production, Marketing, Procurement, and Management). This role requires a customer-first attitude, trustworthiness, and a positive demeanor when interacting with customers at job sites. PRIOR DIESEL MECHANIC, HVAC OR ELECTRICAL WIRING EXPERIENCE IS PREFERRED. We strongly encourage U.S. Veterans, entry-level candidates with hands-on experience, or recent graduates of mechanical or electrical programs to apply. Pay Rate: $17 - 25/hr (based on experience)

Hours: 7: 30 a.M. To 4: 30 p.M.

Key Responsibilities:

Field Service for diesel generators and possibly compressors. Experience with diesel engines and some electrical wiring work preferred.

Correspond to external and internal customers inquiries by receiving inbound calls and emails, while providing technical support consisting of technical troubleshooting, tracking calls, helping with the development of new processes and procedures to assist customers as needed.

Repair and maintenance help along with warranty assistance to customers.

Assist the parts department with part identification and preparation of parts that need service setup prior to shipment from warehouse and customer use.

Instill confidence in customers internally as well as externally through phone and email support.

Use standard computer skills for administrative work and case tracking

Research technical issues with the help of internal and external resources.

Warehouse & Inventory Control

Participate in industry events associations.

Maintain product knowledge through training and continuing education.

Create good will with customers or potential customers, employees, business partners and the general public.

Assist the manager in working closely with purchasing & design on new component implementation and others.

Negotiate with customers and outside vendors as appropriate.

All other duties as assigned or directed by company management.

Additional requirements:

Continuous education, training and work may require travel outside the primary location of Adairsville, GA.

Other duties as assigned by management.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. Work environment involved exposure to potentially dangerous materials and situations that require following extensive safety precautions and may include the use of protective equipment.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

The standard workweek is from Monday 12: 01 a.M. Until Sunday 12: 00 a.M. (midnight) and generally consists of 40 work hours. Office hours are 7: 30 a.M. To 4: 30 p.M., with a 1-hour lunch break. Individual work schedules may vary depending on the needs of each department.

Travel is frequently expected for this position.

Education Required:

Basic reading, writing and math skills required. Background with diesel engines, electrical generators, air compressors or similar education preferred.
