Job Description
We are searching for a full time, direct hire Maintenance Electrician in Erie, PA to be responsible for the maintenance and repair of various equipment and systems in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
The pay is $30-35/hr based on experience and knowledge
The shift is either day or night 5-5 on a set 2-2-3 rotation
You will
- Be capable of working on a wide range of machinery, including electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment failures, determining root causes, and implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime.
? Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems, including wiring, circuit breakers, transformers, and control panels, ensuring compliance with electrical codes and safety regulations.
? Perform maintenance and repair of mechanical systems, including bearings, gearboxes, belts, and other mechanical components.
? Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair hydraulic and pneumatic
systems, including valves, cylinders, and compressors.
? Perform welding, brazing, and metal fabrication tasks as needed for equipment repair and modification.
? Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, and actively participate in safety training and audits.
? Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, maintenance logs, and inventory usage. Update and maintain equipment manuals and schematics.
? Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, contributing ideas for enhancing equipment reliability and efficiency.
You will have:
Education: High school diploma or GED required. Completion of an apprenticeship program or technical school training in electrical work is highly preferred.
? Additional certifications in specialized areas (eg, PLCs, high-voltage systems) are beneficial.
Experience: 3-5 years of experience with industrial electrical and/or maintenance or similar role.
? Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, including motors, generators, transformers, and control systems.
? Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams.
? Ability to troubleshoot and repair complex electrical issues.
? Familiarity with PLC programming and automation systems.
