We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician for a 1st shift position in Dewitt, Iowa. You will report directly to the Plant Manager and will be responsible for all areas of maintenance activity. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the production team to coordinate materials, time, and resources for preventive and corrective maintenance work. Experience working with pumps, motors, hydraulics, PLC, machining, mechanics, furnaces, and combustion equipment is essential, with electrical and welding skills highly preferred. Responsibilities Coordinate with the production team for materials, time, and resources management for maintenance tasks. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on pumps, motors, hydraulics, PLC, machining, mechanics, furnaces, and combustion equipment. Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues. Assist the Plant Manager with the development of capital projects, budgets, and finances. Conduct project requirements analysis and follow up on current jobs. Determine contractor needs based on workloads and schedule/monitor building and property maintenance and repairs. Support the Total Maintenance Program (TPM). Understand and implement safety job planning requirements, including Lockout/Tagout, fall protection, confined spaces, and PPE. Apply lean principles to achieve organizational results. Use in-house and outsourced scheduling methodology. Essential Skills 2-5 years of maintenance work experience. Basic knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, machining, electrical systems, and welding. Troubleshooting skills in electrical and mechanical systems. Strong planning, organizational, and analytical skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Project management skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with PLCs and automation systems. Understanding of lean principles. Knowledge of safety protocols such as Lockout/Tagout, fall protection, and confined spaces. Why Work Here?
