Summary

Assist licensed electricians and with construction and maintenance electrical work. Perform general maintenance tasks assigned.

This is an Essential Personnel position, which can require that the incumbent must report for duty and work through emergencies, and also can be designated by the supervisor as essential for the accomplishment of work, or for the completion of a critical task.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Capable of receiving and giving oral, written and diagrammed instructions

Ability to stand, walk, climb, and stoop for extended periods of time

Must be able to lift at least 45 lbs

Ability to utilize TMA Facilities maintenance software on portable devices (e.g. iPod)

Ability and willingness to work evenings, weekends, and possibly holidays

Must be able to take on-call for emergencies

Required Education and/or Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent

Two (2) years' experience working in electrical trade

Preferred Qualifications:

Class E City of NOLA Electrical Helpers license
