Job Title: Assistant Maintenance Manager - Experience Preferred Company/Location: Nico Products - Minneapolis, MN Shift: Days (Approx 6am-2pm) - Actual hours TBD - M-F Wage: $85,000/year + DOQ Signing Bonus: $1500 ($500 at 6 months and $1000 at 1 year) Be the one who keeps us running. Youll be second-in-command in the Maintenance departmenthelping lead the team that keeps our critical equipment running, installs new systems, and ensures safety and reliability across the plant. You'll be deeply involved in these and other tasks: Leading, assigning, and supporting the daily work of the maintenance team Responding to and resolving production issues quickly (equipment failures, etc.) Installing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of equipment: pumps, motors, HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, etc. Keeping the plant running smoothly and safely every single shift Helping plan, prioritize, and execute both emergency repairs and long-term projects Maintaining parts/tools inventory, preventive maintenance, and documentation Performing inspections, testing, and reporting on completed work Training others on proper maintenance practices and safety procedures Acting as backup to the Maintenance Manager when absent What We're Looking For We need a true jack of all trades - someone who can adapt, troubleshoot, and lead under pressure. Preferred Qualifications: Supervisory or lead experience in a maintenance or industrial setting Minimum of 4 years industrial/production maintenance experience Broad hands-on mechanical experience (youve fixed it all) Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, welding , and equipment installs Strong understanding of industrial safety standards Excellent communication, accountability, and time management Comfortable with documentation and work order systems Boiler license a plus (or willingness to obtain) Comfortable with computer software including Word, Excel, Outlook Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking the English language. Ability to work on ladders & heights up to 30 ft. Ability to weld and use torches safely. Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs. Understanding of safety rules and regulations to prevent unsafe set-ups, operations, or acts, which could cause injury to self, others, or the environment. General math abilities. Must be a U.S. citizen or have valid work authorization Strong attendance and dependability this role is critical The Right Fit Is Someone Who: Can prioritize and plan while staying calm under pressure Doesnt mind getting their hands dirty (because you will) Sees problems as puzzles to solve Leads by example and earns respect through action Understands the mission: Keep production running safely and reliably.
