This position is responsible for the repair and maintenance of production and facility machines and equipment. This position also ensures that departmental requirements are fulfilled including safety compliance, compliance to internal procedures and compliance to regulatory standards.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Use the appropriate measurement gauges and tools to evaluate, measure, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Use software including an electronic Preventive Maintenance system, e-mail and the internet to track & cross-reference PM requirements, communicate, order supplies and gain access to manuals, procedures or specifications.
- Interface with engineers, suppliers, etc. to obtain blueprints, order support materials, answer questions, etc.
- Utilize drawings, blueprints, rough sketches to create parts from materials such as rubber, steel, aluminum, plastics.
- Observe and listen to operating machines or equipment to help diagnose machine malfunction.
- Ensures tools and equipment used to maintain company machinery or build product is clean and in proper working condition.
- Ensures all tools are stored in an orderly fashion and are available to perform required PM's on equipment.
- Maintain facility and grounds as required.
- May be required to train less senior team members.
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Degree or Equivalency
- 4-6 years' related experience
0-20% travel
