Weekend Custodian/Pool Maintenance

Reports To:
Resident Manager and Site Manager

Responsibilities:
The Custodian/Pool Maintenance Position is a vital part of our communitys day-to-day operations. The work takes place in areas shared with owners and guests of the condominium association. The custodian is expected to perform quality work, have good communication skills, and present themselves in a professional manner. Applicants must be able to work on their own and have time management skills. Custodial and pool maintenance experience is helpful, but all tasks can be learned on the job. Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to those listed below.

Clean the common areas of the complex including, but not limited to, oceanfront patio furniture, railings, BBQ grills, bathrooms, kitchen, walkways, exercise room and exercise equipment.
Test and clean and open the swimming pool on weekends. Training will be provided.
Haul rubbish from garbage stations to dumpsters using a golf cart.
Clean leaves, clippings and rubbish from sidewalks and parking areas as needed.
Assist in cleaning up after high winds and storms.
Assist in larger projects on the property as needed.
Maintain a safe working environment for yourself and those around you.

Abilities and Physical Demands
The position also involves but is not limited to those listed.

Be able to arrive on time and finish the assigned work within the time given.
Be able to work unsupervised.
Be flexible and able to determine job priorities independently.
Report maintenance needs to the manager.
Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Occasionally lift and/or move 50 pounds. Most of the lifting is associated with moving garbage from garbage cans and transporting it to a dumpster.
Regularly required to walk, stand, crawl, kneel, crouch or stoop.
Ability to go up and down up to three flights of stairs multiple times a day.
Use hands, fingers and arms to grab, reach or feel objects and use equipment.
Regularly exposed to outdoor, hot, wet and/or humid conditions.
Regularly exposed to cleaning products.

Work Schedule
5 hours on Saturday and 5 hours on Sunday.
7:00 am-12:00 pm. Hours may be somewhat flexible if needed.
Extra hours can be added for holidays and to cover shifts for coworkers.
