- Troubleshoot and repairs (minor) heating and cooling systems, to include: residential furnaces and air conditioning units
- Makes repairs to various plumbing systems and equipment. Modifying plumbing equipment such as sinks, lavatories, bathtubs, showers and hot water heaters.
- Performs electrical duties such as removes, replaces, tightens, splices, solders and insulates defective wiring, controls, equipment and fixtures.
- Mix and blend paints. Paint buildings, structures and furniture. Cleans and maintains painting equipment.
- Assuring overall yard, grounds sprinkler system, fences, drainage systems are in good repair.
- Receives oral or written assignments from Maintenance Mechanic Supervisor which may be accompanied by sketches, drawings or blueprints.

WORKING CONDITIONS: Exposed to a variety of seasonal weather conditions while working outdoors (temperatures can range from -40 to 90+ degrees). Subject to danger of falling from ladders, stilts or scaffolding. Exposed to dust, dirt, wind and rain. May work with dangerous chemicals and around moving equipment; paints, solvents, etc.
