Diesel Mechanic Description Will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, and other truck systems. Responsibilities also include the following: Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using diagnostic tools and software. Conduct inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure vehicle safety and compliance. Replace or repair worn or defective parts such as bearings, brake pads, and belts. Maintain accurate service records and documentation of repairs. Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety standards and DOT regulations. Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding repair status and parts needs. Keep work area clean and organized.
