We are looking for a Maintenance Worker to l ead the set-up of specialized sound, audio, visual, and streaming equipment. . This position will be full-time contract and onsite.
What Youll Do
Troubleshoot and repair sound and audio equipment
Plan and organize event setups, including conference rooms and Statehouse activities
Ensure event spaces are prepared, clean, and presentable
Efficiently manage Statehouse events and spaces, especially during legislative sessions
Lead other staff in the absence of supervision
Clean carpets using commercial-grade equipment as needed
What You'll Need
Required:
Practical knowledge of audio, video, and sound equipment
Ability to perform manual tasks (standing, walking, lifting, bending, etc.)
Outstanding customer service skills
Understanding of equipment and furniture setup for events
Ability to troubleshoot equipment failures
Effective communication and collaboration skills
Preferred:
Experience with sound equipment setup and maintenance
Ability to work weekends and adapt to event-based schedules
Physical Demands
Constant lifting and walking
Moderate manual dexterity required
Indoor working environment with minimal hazardous exposure
Position includes weekend work and occasional outdoor tasks
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state and local standards
Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
The pay range for this position is $20.00 per hour (USD). Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as 401k retirement account access. Employees in this role may also be entitled to paid sick leave as provided by applicable law.
