This state-of-the-art, 750k sq ft, greenfield plant is expected to be operational in late 2025 and will lay the foundation for fairlife's next phase of growth as the leading dairy nutrition provider. While coupling the industry's latest technologies and fairlife's operational excellence to build this world-class facility, fairlife plans to hire 250 new employees and bring in approximately 5 million lbs. of milk a day, with room to grow over the coming years.**12 Hour Nights:** This is a night shift position, with hours from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM. The role follows a rotating 2-2-3 schedule: two days on, two days off, three days on, followed by two days off, two days on, and three days off. Team members will work every other weekend, including Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.**job purpose**: Maintenance Mechanics will work independently and with other plant personnel to perform preventative, predictive and routine maintenance tasks. They will troubleshoot issues, repair failures of production and facilities equipment, and ensure maximum equipment efficiency and effectiveness. All tasks will be performed while supporting the policies, goals and objectives of the company.**responsibilities:**- Execute all job duties with a strong safety mindset. Follow all permitting, job safety, and food safety programs and procedures every time.- Troubleshoot, repair and maintain plant machinery and equipment such as valves, conveyors, compressors, packers, fillers, palletizers, filters, membranes, separators, blow molders, labeling, and pumps.- Troubleshoot, repair or replace control devices such as switches, photo eyes, proximity sensors, pushbuttons, contactors, motor starters, etc. as needed.- Perform work order repairs, preventive maintenance inspections and repairs, equipment rebuilds and adjustments.- Able to set up and operate welders, drill press, grinder, hand tools and other metal working equipment.- Fabrication, innovation and modification of new and existing equipment.- Create work orders for equipment repairs that include parts and document labor hours- Participates in plant safety, health and environmental programs.- Other duties may be assigned.**skills/qualifications required:**The minimum requirements for education and experience are listed below. Consideration will be given to individuals with an equivalent combination of education and experience.- Have at least 3 years' experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanics and basic electrical repair.- Ability to read and interpret documents, schematics and drawings.- Ability to write detailed repair reports as well as good verbal communication.- Post-secondary education and/or a technical trade certificate is an asset.- Experience in the operation of a food beverage plant is an asset.- Expertise and proficiency with basic office computer software, and the ability to learn how to effectively use maintenance software to input work order and Preventative maintenance data, research and checkout parts.**working conditions and physical requirements:**Regular use of a variety of machines and tools is essential.
