We are seeking to hire experienced Commercial Truck Mechanics to help us staff our night and weekend shifts.
We operate a large fleet of over 100 trucks, with our maintenance facility operating 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, at our newly constructed terminal in Campbell Heights, South Surrey.
You will be required to work a combination of either 2 weekday night and 2 weekend day shifts or 4 weekday night shifts per week.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Inspect, adjust, repair, and replace components of commercial trucks, including chassis, frame, cab, body, engine and drive train, air brakes, steering, fuel, hydraulic, electrical, air-conditioning, and electronic systems.
- Inspect, adjust, repair, and replace components of truck-trailer systems, including structural, brake, and electrical systems.
- Utilize computerized diagnostic tools and other testing devices to identify and diagnose faults or malfunctions.
- Perform scheduled maintenance services such as oil changes, lubrications, tune-ups, and other preventive maintenance tasks.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance work performed, and materials used.
- Collaborate with team members to prioritize repairs, ensure timely service, and maintain fleet safety and reliability standards.
Wage/Salary: $37.50/hour
Benefits: Full Comprehensive Medical, Dental, and Benefits Package Available after 90 days

Skills Requirements
Education: No Minimum Education Required; Applicable Trade Diploma and Red Seal Certification are desirable.
Work Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of verifiable professional hands-on experience in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy-duty commercial trucks and truck-trailer systems.
Technical Skills:
- Demonstrated knowledge and verifiable proficiency working with modern diesel engine systems, including but not limited to Detroit Diesel (DD15), Cummins ISX and Volvo D13 Engines
- Verifiable work experience performing diagnostics, repairs and maintenance on automatic transmissions, particularly Volvo I-Shift and Eaton UltraShift systems, or similar.
- Demonstrated proficiency using industry-standard diagnostic software, including Cummins Insite, Volvo Tech Tool and Detroit Diesel Diagnostic Link (DDDL), to identify and resolve electronic and mechanical faults.
- Demonstrated ability to diagnose and repair emissions control systems, including Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) and Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) systems, in compliance with regulatory standards.
Additional Requirements:
- Candidates will be required to complete a technical assessment as part of the screening and selection process.
- Ability to read and interpret repair manuals, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation in English.
