General Maintenance Technician

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

Must be a Christian who is a member of a church that holds Jesus Christ to be their Savior and Lord, and who holds solely the Old Testament and the New Testament as sacred Scriptures.

GENERAL OBJECTIVES:

Perform basic general maintenance repairs such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting or HVAC, or assist licensed maintenance tradesmen to maintain the institutional physical plant.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Some basic general maintenance knowledge
• Works well with people in order to complete projects
• Able to work under stressful situations, handle multiple projects at one time, and meet multiple deadlines

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assists all trades in the work of their trades, such as: painters, carpenters, electricians, plumbers, moves and set-up crew, or HVAC technicians.
• Assists in maintaining work areas in a clean and safe condition.
• Assists in material storing and distribution.
• Assists in operating and maintaining the tools and equipment associated with specialized craftwork.
• Performs general repairs including, but not limited to the follow:
• Adjust doors and closures
• Replace ballast, bulbs, and other electrical parts
• Hang bulletin boards, pictures, framed art, plaques, etc.
• Make minor plumbing, electrical, and HVAC repairs
• Perform other duties as assigned.

WORK SCHEDULE:

Regular hours between 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Monday-Friday, but regularly flexible hours will be required.

The position will work on the main campus, located at 3000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, TX 75211
