The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for performing routine and preventive maintenance on production equipment and facilities. This role ensures that machinery and mechanical equipment operate efficiently and safely, minimizing downtime and supporting production goals. Key Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and repairs on production machinery and mechanical systems. Diagnose mechanical issues and determine appropriate corrective actions. Reconfigure production floor layouts as needed to support operational changes. Maintain accurate maintenance records and logs. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and use of personal protective equipment. Collaborate with production and engineering teams to support equipment upgrades and installations. Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests. Perform other duties as assigned. Job Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. Proven experience as a maintenance mechanic or technician in a manufacturing environment. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics. Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks. Basic computer skills for maintenance logging and reporting. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Job Type & Location This is a full-time position based out of NA, MA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr. Workplace Type This is a fully onsite position in New Bedford,MA.
