As a Maintenance Worker II in our Streets Division, you will help keep Mill Valleys streets and infrastructure safe, functional, and looking their best. Working under general supervision, you will take on a range of skilled and hands-on tasks including paving, concrete work, storm drain cleaning, and street repair.

Your day might include operating construction equipment, mixing and pouring concrete for sidewalks or curbs, clearing debris from storm drains ahead of the rainy season, or resurfacing a neighborhood street. You will also help direct traffic around work zones, respond to emergency repair needs, and may lead small crews on specific assignments.

This is active, outdoor work that requires physical stamina, attention to safety, and a strong sense of pride in public service. You will work across the citys neighborhoods and infrastructure, helping maintain the streets and public right-of-ways that residents and visitors rely on every day.

SALARY & BENEFITS

$4,834.00 to $6,479.00 Monthly (DOE)

Health Insurance The City offers a Kaiser Health Plan and the Western Health Advantage HMO (City pays the cost of premiums up to the equivalent of the Kaiser Family Plan).
Dental Insurance The City pays full cost of Delta Dental PPO Plan coverage.
Leave The City offers generous vacation, sick, holiday leave, and Paid Family Leave.
Retirement The City contracts with CalPERS for retirement benefits and also provides an Retirement Health Savings Plan.
Optional 457 Deferred Compensation Plan - the City offers up to $600/year in matching contributions.
Other the City pays the premiums for a $50,000 life insurance plan, as well as Long-Term Disability insurance. Other benefits include free/discounted use of City recreational facilities and programs.
