Building Maintenance Worker (English Speaking)

We are looking for a reliable and experienced English-speaking Maintenance Worker to join our team, responsible for maintaining multiple buildings in the Chicago area. The ideal candidate will have their own vehicle and a valid drivers license. This position requires a variety of tasks, including repairs, janitorial duties, snow removal, and landscaping.
Responsibilities:
Maintain polite and professional interaction with tenants for necessary repairs and requests
Perform repairs to minor issues with equipment and buildings
Complete maintenance and repair work orders promptly
Inspect premises regularly (both inside and outside)
Upkeep aesthetics in and around properties, including common areas
Repair and maintain interior spaces of the buildings and units
Perform minor painting as needed
Manage and prioritize repair requests from tenants
Provide extermination services as needed
Disengage garbage containers from compactors for timely pickup
Remove snow and salt walkways in winter
Manage keys and locks for the properties
Qualifications:
2-5 years of previous experience in maintenance or related fields
Proficiency with hand-held tools and equipment
Ability to meet deadlines and attention to detail
Physically able to perform various manual tasks
Must have own vehicle and valid drivers license
Most tasks can be completed between 8 AM and 5 PM (time can be adjusted), though occasional emergency situations may require work after hours.
