Shift: 6:00 AM 2:30 PM

Job Description:

The Maintenance Departments goal is to maintain plant electrical and mechanical systems in a safe and reliable manner. This role supports manufacturing and support groups with preventive/predictive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and upgrades of plant processing, packaging, and filling line equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on plant equipment and utility systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair high-speed filling, packaging, and conveying equipment.
• Adjust timing systems such as rotary sterilizers, seamers, bottle sealers, and cappers.
• Repair gear heads, reducers, centrifugal/positive displacement pumps, and barcode/video-jet printers.
• Install seals, bearings, gaskets, adhesives, belts, chains, sprockets, gears, and sheaves.
• Run piping (black iron, stainless steel, copper, PVC, flexible tubing).
• Weld stainless steel, carbon steel, aluminum; fabricate guards using sheet metal and Lexan.
• Wire/repair electric motors, troubleshoot wiring issues, replace fixtures, lamps, fuses, and overload protection.
• Read and follow electrical schematics, apply NEC standards, and use electrical/precision tools.
• Maintain hand tools and equipment (drills, winches, micrometers, calipers, torches, welders, lathe, mill, multimeter, etc.).
• Ensure compliance with FDA (GMP), USDA, OSHA, and Client policies .
• Keep accurate maintenance records, spare part inventory, and provide updates to supervisors.
• Maintain housekeeping standards in the shop and production areas.
• Escort and support outside repair contractors as needed.

Requirements

• Proven proficiency in electrical/mechanical troubleshooting and repair.
• Knowledge of FDA GMP, USDA, OSHA regulations.
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, and extended hours when needed.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Team-oriented, with ability to support production goals and throughput initiatives.
