Millwright/Maintenance Technician - Direct Hire
Located in South Royalton, VT
1st Shift - Flexible with some Saturdays
Salary negotiable
Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Millwright/Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our facility. You will be responsible for managing maintenance activities throughout the Sawmill and implementing preventative measures to minimalize downtime. Your expertise in mechanical knowledge, project management, electrical systems as well as reliability will be essential in maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.
Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance on sawmill machinery, including saws, conveyors, and other equipment
Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic and electrical issues.
Operate welding equipment and other hand tools for repairs and fabrication.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Follow all industry safety practices including: fall protection, lock-out tag-out and hot-works.
Maintain an inventory of parts and lubricants.
Assist with other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Valid Drivers License
Proven experience in sawmill maintenance or industrial maintenance.
Strong mechanical knowledge.
Knowledge of sawmill equipment and processes.
Proficiency in welding, cutting, and using hand tools.
Ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple tasks - knowledge of high voltage systems,
facility upgrades or renovations.
