Main Duties & Responsibilities

JOB SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for ensuring production and facilityequipment is working at all times. He/she will install, troubleshoot, repair,and maintain all equipment. He/she will follow preventive maintenance schedulesalong with existing protocol including building maintenance.

Essential Duties, Responsibilities and Competencies:

P erforms record keeping, data entry, housekeeping, and follows safety regulations
General knowledge required in mechanics (gears, bearings, pulleys, belts, etc.), pneumatics and electric drives.

Effectively perform various duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facilitys equipment.

Maintain inventory of repair pa rts and supplies.
Conducts machine setup, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance service.
Provides emergency and unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and conducts scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
Performs mechanic skills including but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic troubleshooting and repair of packaging and production machines.
Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, or plumbing issues, replace, or repair parts, test, and make necessary adjustments.
Will use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties.
Ability to comply with all safety regulations and maintains a clean and orderly work area.
Must possess the ability to learn and comply with all company policies and procedures including safety guidelines and practices.
All other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

Language Skills:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules,operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units ofmeasure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Blueprint Reading:
Ability to read and understand blueprints, drawing, and/orschematics.

Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Preferencegiven for maintenance experience.

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularlyrequired to stand; use hands, finger, handle, feel, communicate, and listen.The employee is occasionally required to walk; reach with hands and arms andstoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must be able to walk on concrete for longperiods of time, lift up to 50lbs. and can climb ladders, and operateforklifts. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision,and depth perception.

Work Environment:
Whileperforming the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to movingmechanical parts. The noise level in thework environment is usually very loud.

Training Requirement:
Trainingrequirement shall be in accordance with Mac Fastener Training Matrix.
