About the Team

The Maintenance Team plays a crucial role in ensuring that all AKBH facilities are safe, clean, well-maintained, and equipped for day-to-day operations. As a part of this team, you will report to the Maintenance Manager and Lead. Collaborate with other maintenance technicians to create a pleasant working environment for our employees.

What You’ll Do

  • Conduct regular inspections and maintenance tasks to ensure the proper functioning and safety of equipment, machinery, and systems. This may involve preventive maintenance, lubricating moving parts, replacing worn components, and performing repairs as needed.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests or work orders from staff members. Address issues such as leaks, faulty wiring, broken fixtures, or malfunctioning equipment, and resolve them promptly to minimize disruptions and ensure a safe environment.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while performing maintenance tasks to prevent accidents or injuries. Ensure compliance with relevant codes, regulations, and standards pertaining to equipment maintenance, electrical systems, and building safety.
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, including work performed, repairs made, parts used and bought, and any other relevant information. This documentation helps track maintenance history, identify recurring issues, and plan future maintenance schedules.

  • Pay Range is between $20.00 - $26.25 DOE
  • AKBH offers generous benefits, including two healthcare options for employees and their dependent children, a 401 (k) with immediate vesting and up to a 5% match, 3% automatically contributed by AKBH, and 5 weeks of PTO in the first year and 8 weeks of PTO after the first year.

What We Need from You

  • Valid driver’s license
  • Basic knowledge of maintenance and repair work; ability to use common tools
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and time management
  • Effective communication skills and ability to maintain a professional demeanor
  • Understanding of safety protocols and ability to work safely
  • Flexibility to work occasional overtime based on operational needs
  • Physical ability to safely lift 50+ pounds and perform tasks such as bending, stooping, and climbing
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening (including marijuana) and criminal background check
