Residential Property Maintenance Technician

This position works with a great small team. We are a HUD Public Housing Authority and try to keep our mission for affordable public housing and safety of our tenants as our priority. We have 85 units, and we work at keeping everything updated, secure, and safe. It's a great atmosphere to work, and we pride ourselves in keeping our tenants safe and comfortable.

Position Summary

There are a lot of different facets to the job, and you will work independently to accomplish apartment turnovers, maintenance to the 3 story building, make suggestions to improvements for the building and grounds, maintain the grounds, inspect the units on a regular basis, do preventative measures and restorative repairs.

Salary Information

$23 to $28 per hour, depending upon experience and licenses, WRS Retirement, Dean Health Insurance, Delta Dental, Vision Insurance, and Life Insurance.

Job Details

40 hours a week. 7:30am until 5pm Monday through Thursday, 8am until Noon on Friday. There is an after hours on call status, so we want the person to be within 30 minute driving distance. We do a credit and criminal background check, there is a 6 month probation, we have 1 large building with 85 units and safety is a key requirement. Travel: we have a company truck to drive for any pick ups of supplies.

Qualifications

Experience is key to efficiency here, and there must be work ethics and a confidentiality understanding as well. You will have experience in building and grounds maintenance, including standard practices, methods, tools, materials, electrical, plumbing, painting, carpentry, and grounds keeping.
