B2 Aircraft Mechanic

Location: Abu Dhabi

Purpose: The B2 Aircraft Mechanic is responsible for repair, fault isolation, installation, fabrication, modification, on Global 6000 aircraft airframe and avionics systems.

Job Responsibilities:

Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and perform both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance in a high-quality and efficient manner on aircraft airframe and avionics systemsTroubleshoot and test instruments, components, and assemblies using various tools such as circuit testers, oscilloscopes, voltmeters, etc.Inspect, maintain, and install electronic systems, such as navigational systems, radar technology, radio communication systems, flight control tools, and other avionics systemsPerform operational/functional checks on aircraft electrical systems and equipmentOperate equipment to test, diagnose, locate, and repair deficienciesUtilize a strong understanding of electronic theory to effect timely repairsAssemble components including switches, electrical controls, and junction boxesLay out installation of aircraft assemblies and systemsInstall, route, upgrade, and repair wire harnessesInstall avionics equipment per engineering drawings while following wiring standardsPerform basic soldering, harness build up and installation including wire stripping and crimping, fault isolation and repair of avionics system failuresRead and interpret technical data including original equipment manufacturer maintenance manuals, illustrated part catalogs, wiring diagrams, service bulletins, etc.to direct maintenance repairsMaintain a safe and clean work environment and report any unsafe conditionsMaintain responsibility for proper execution of parts tag instructions in accordance with the Repair Station Quality Control ManualMaintain communication with assigned Team Lead for task updates and status reportsAssist/perform B1 tasks as neededOther duties as required

Skills/Qualifications:

Valid B2 License is required, A&P certificate preferredBombardier Global 6000 experience preferred, trade school, with 3-5 years experience preferredHigh school education required; electronics trade school or military training equivalent for repairing electronics preferredExperience with modification and wiring installationStrong mechanical aptitudeExperience in fault isolation and repair of avionics systemsHave modification and wiring installation experienceAbility to perform database updatesExperience in the use of common hand and special tools/testers as required to perform avionics maintenance tasksAbility to relocate to Abu Dhabi for a minimum of two yearsAbility to work shifts, weekends and Holidays

Perform On the Job training with the UAE Airforce personnel

Ability to read and use schematics and blueprints preferredAbility to pass a security background check to obtain a base passExperience working in an AS9110c environment, FAA Part 145 knowledge preferredAbility to work in tight spaces, work at elevated heights, lift, balance and carry 50 lb
