The Controls Tech will play a pivotal role in the facilities operation by troubleshooting electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems in the plant.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Installation and Maintenance : Install, maintain, and repair control systems, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs), and other automated systems.
Troubleshooting : Diagnose and resolve issues with control systems, ensuring low downtime and optimal functionality.
Programming : Program and calibrate control systems for optimal performance, using various programming languages and software.
Collaboration : Work closely with engineers and other technical staff to design and develop control systems, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Training : Provide training and support to end users on the operation and maintenance of control systems.
Education and Experience Required:
An Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
Experience: Proven work experience as a Controls Technician or in a similar role, a strong understanding of electrical and electronic principles.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in PLC programming, familiarity with industrial networks (e.g., Ethernet, DeviceNet), and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience: Proven work experience as a Controls Technician or in a similar role, a strong understanding of electrical and electronic principles.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in PLC programming, familiarity with industrial network (e.g., Ethernet, DeviceNet), and the ability to read and interpret tech drawings.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part team.
