Express Employment Professionals is recruiting for a Direct Hire Maintenance Manager opportunity with a leading food manufacturing company in Donora, PA.

Position Overview

The Maintenance Manager will lead all maintenance operations to ensure optimal performance and reliability of manufacturing equipment and facility systems. This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership ability, budget oversight, and advanced troubleshooting skills in a food manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs

Maximize equipment uptime through efficient PMs, audits, planning, and execution

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of maintenance technicians, planner, buyer, and parts personnel

Coordinate maintenance schedules with production and other departments

Maintain accurate maintenance records (work orders, repairs, PMs, inventory movements)

Manage spare parts inventory and procurement processes

Collaborate with vendors and suppliers for sourcing parts and materials

Ensure compliance with safety regulations, GMPs, and food manufacturing standards

Manage maintenance budget and purchase orders through ERP system

Schedule personnel for weekend and off-shift coverage as needed

Technical Qualifications

Experience with TPM and Lean Manufacturing preferred

Working knowledge of food manufacturing and GMP standards

Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude

PLC troubleshooting using program logic (programming not required)

Electrical schematic troubleshooting and circuit repair

Electrical drive programming and external input troubleshooting

Electrical motor troubleshooting and premature failure analysis

Sensor setup and troubleshooting

Experience fabricating food-safe polymers and metals

Knowledge of boilers, water treatment systems, piping (copper/stainless/carbon), pumps, valves, tanks, and mixers

Ability to identify faulty components and source correct replacements

Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field preferred

Proven experience in industrial maintenance leadership

Strong project management and organizational skills

Demonstrated leadership and team-building ability

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Schedule

Monday - Friday

Peak operational hours: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Weekend overtime as needed
