The Role
Our Mitchell Plastics Kitchener facility is looking for a Fully Licensed Millwright on the Afternoon or Night Shift immediately. Consideration will be given to Registered 3rd year 433A Apprentices or higher. The Millwright is a key player in keeping our production floor running and ensuring we are able to meet customer requirements in a fast-paced, “just-in-time” environment. Cooperation with the Maintenance, Production and Continuous Improvement Teams is essential for this position. Candidates must be flexible to work any/all shifts, daily/weekend overtime as required plus rotating on-call duties.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform PM Duties on equipment per PM Schedule.
- Trouble shoot hydraulic problems and repair.
- Trouble shoot electrical / electronic problems and repair.
- Trouble shoot and repair mechanical problems.
- Record corrective action.
- Identify safety concerns and repair unsafe conditions.
- Record repairs on PM forms.
- Provide proper lighting to work areas.
- Any other duties assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor or other Senior Management.
Qualifications and Skills
- Certified Industrial Millwright 433A Tradesperson
- minimum Grade 12 or equivalent
- minimum 5 years maintenance manufacturing experience - production floor & facilities work (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, equipment relocation, facility installs/upgrades & troubleshooting)
- experience with hand and power tools
- ability to read, write & communicate in English
- excellent organizational, multi-tasking and time management skills
- self-driven & able to work independently and prioritize tasks
- excellent team-player with a positive "can-do" attitude & excellent attendance
- automation and/or experience with paint lines & systems is considered an asset
Job Details:
Hourly Wage: $44.56 + night shift premium of $0.75/hour shift or afternoon shift premium of $0.50/hour
Employment Type: Full-time
Work Location: 100 Washburn Drive, Kitchener, Ontario (on-site)
Hours of Work: Night Shift: 11 pm – 7 am, Sunday night
Thursday Night and/ or Afternoon shift: 3pm – 11pm Monday to Friday
