SUMMARY This position supports the maintenance and repair needs of the hotel. It involves tasks in multiple crafts, such as plumbing, painting, drywall, carpentry, electrical work, and water testing. The position is also responsible for performing preventive maintenance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Plumbing functions include:
Soldering/brazing
Unclogging toilets and drains
Replacing bath and toilet fixtures
Repairing faucets
Drywall and painting functions include:
Small repairs to walls and ceilings due to water damage
Blending repairs with existing wall or ceiling finishes
Minor painting of rooms, doors, trim, and ceilings
Carpentry functions include:
Repairing and fabricating chairs, tables, walls, floors, cabinetry, shelves, etc.
Demonstrating correct use of hand and power tools Electrical functions include:
Replacing outlets, wall switches, light fixtures, appliances, AC units, PTACs, and related items
Troubleshooting, reading schematics, and diagnosing electrical equipment
Working with voltages ranging from 24V to 240V, 3-phase, and using meters and testing equipment properly
Water testing functions include:
Testing pools, spas, and large bodies of water, and documenting readings
Minor cleaning, backwashing, spa and Jacuzzi pump replacements, rebuilds, mechanical seals, air switches, etc.
Performing preventive maintenance tasks as part of the preventive maintenance program
Repairing and maintaining commercial laundry equipment
Participating in the Safety Committee
Performing all other duties as assigned

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent; vocational school training preferred Minimum of two years of experience in electrical, plumbing, and carpentry crafts
